How to Pay with Monero

A simple guide for beginners

Anonymous Ear accepts Monero (XMR) as the only form of payment. Monero is a digital currency designed to protect your privacy and anonymity—just like we do. If you're new to Monero, don't worry. This guide will walk you through everything you need to do to get started.

Step 1: Set Up a Monero Wallet

A wallet is where you store your Monero. There are many options, but here are two beginner-friendly choices:

Option 1: Monero.com Wallet (Mobile App – iOS & Android)

  • Download the Monero.com Wallet app by Cake Wallet.
  • It is private, user-friendly, and does not require you to sign up or provide personal information.
  • Website: https://monero.com

Option 2: Cake Wallet (Mobile/Desktop)

  • Another well-established wallet that supports Monero and lets you exchange fiat (USD, EUR, etc.) to XMR within the app.
  • Website: https://cakewallet.com

Step 2: Buy Monero (XMR)

There are several ways to buy Monero. Here are some privacy-friendly methods:

Option 1: Buy Inside the Wallet App

  • Both Monero.com Wallet and Cake Wallet let you buy Monero with a debit card or Apple Pay.
  • Some processors may ask for ID, but not all do

Option 2: Use an Exchange That Offers XMR
If you're comfortable using a cryptocurrency exchange:

Note: Some exchanges may require identification. If you want to remain fully anonymous, consider a peer-to-peer platform like LocalMonero: https://localmonero.co

Step 3: Pay with Monero

Once you have Monero in your wallet, sending a payment is simple.

  1. After booking, you will be directed to a page with:
    • A Monero address (a long string starting with 4 or 8)
    • A payment ID or integrated address (if needed)
    • The exact amount of XMR to send
  2. In your wallet:
  • Tap Send
  • Paste in our Monero address
  • Enter the exact amount
  • Enter the payment ID if required (most modern wallets do this automatically)
  • Tap Send

That’s it. Monero transactions are fast, private, and final.
